Client: Mitsubishi Motors Canada

Mitsubishi Motors had a reputation problem. Even after the brand released its AJAC-award-winning Outlander, auto journalists couldn’t resist proclaiming their shock that the SUV was “actually good”.

So Mitsubishi decided to face its critics head on. In a bold campaign, called “Time To Change Your Mind,” Mitsubishi said the quiet part out loud: We’re better than you think we are. And we can prove it.

Using backhanded compliments from reviews – along with receipts – Mitsubishi challenged Canadians to rethink their negative assumptions about the brand.
