Scrappy
The small-budget content.
Bananas for scale
Client: Mitsubishi Motors Canada
Mitsubishi wanted to advertise their RVR - an affordable, subcompact SUV - on Reddit. It made sense from a demographic perspective, but there was nothing new to say and no budget for a flashy photoshoot. So we got scrappy.
Using the Reddit-native, r/BananasForScale as a theme, we took pictures with an iPhone, placing bananas beside various elements of the RVR.
With more than 5.2M impressions delivered, the campaign exceeded industry benchmarks. The cost-per-click was 65% more efficient and the page scroll rate was 3x higher than average.
Meme-orable
Client: Mitsubishi Motors Canada
Unlike other auto brands that advertise on Reddit, I knew it was better to show up to the platform like Redditors do. So we made a meme.
With only a cartoon man, we communicated a simple message: PHEV drivers don’t need to worry about battery range. The meme performed so well, it won an AV Digital award.
